Dosing medications for a pediatric patient is unique to each patient. It depends on their age and weight. We know what dose is recommended for what age and weight size but the formulations of those drugs are extensive.  After selecting the formulation (x mg/5ml), one need to calculate how much ml or tsp of the medicine is appropriate for the pediatric patient.
